What are the best fabrics to paint?Any silk will readily accept the textile paints. However, higher quality silk will reflect the paints colors better than lower quality silk fibers. Textured or slub woven silk will require subtle coloration due to the uneven surfaces. Recycled silk fabrics by covering grease spots or damaged silk fabric with patterning designs using the L/N products. Combine the paints with the 'Colorhue' to completely change the former color and patterning of a recycled silk garment. Also, 'Lumiere/Neopaque' paints provide color for all textiles whether the fabric be natural fiber, synthetic, or fabric blends (including leather) but do require heat setting to promise permanent coloration. Update an aging wardrobe or 'add pizzazz' to home decor items. These paints are effective on glass, paper, wood and paint canvases, however, requiring different application procedures.
