This 9 weight silk thread is the heaviest of the 3 ply silk thread in the TIRE line. It is engineered as a perfect thread for making hand made buttonholes and utilized for tailoring techniques. However, the thicker high twist Buttonhole Silk has a lot more talents. The 20 meter card obviously indicates a thread for hand work. A perfect thread for dimensional embroideries, such as crazy quilting embroidery, silk ribbon embroidery, Brazilian embroidery, stump work and knotting for bead work. COLORED ILLUSTRATION: The cards of 'Buttonhole Silk' accent a gorgeous piece of hand dyed and hand painted silk scarf.
